Curlew Cottage is a great property for that romantic break, and is complete with a wood-burning stove and roll-top bath.. Set on a working arable and cattle farm, within the owner’s 2000-acre estate in the Vale of Strathmore, these four welcoming and spacious holiday cottages have been restored to a very high standard. The most recent addition to the collection, Kingfisher Cottage (UK38211) is a renovated, detached, single-storey luxury cottage, tucked way down a farm track. With two stylish bedrooms and beautiful quality furnishings throughout, the high ceilinged open plan living room/kitchen features an eyecatching wood burner flanked by full length picture windows, making the most of the view for the ultimate relaxing experience. Islabank Farmhouse (ref saap) is a traditional, characterful, comfortable farmhouse which is ideal for families. Curlew Cottage (ref syyj) is a charming, beautifully converted, detached, single-storey property and a haven for wildlife with red squirrels visiting the garden daily. Still part of the farm but located 4 miles away is Osprey Cottage (ref UZQ), a delightful, light and sunny, single-storey detached cottage.
Set amongst beautiful farmland and fruit-growing country, they make an excellent choice for relaxing breaks in the heart of rural Perthshire. The estate makes an ideal base for exploring central Scotland, Edinburgh, Perth, St Andrews and the Highlands. Glamis Castle is a few miles away. Outdoor activities (golf, skiing, fishing, riding, cycling) are readily available. Shops and pub 3 miles.

Wonderful cottage in a great location with a ‘home from home’ vibe. Everything you could possibly need is provided. Beautiful, dog friendly garden with lots of wildlife to gaze at whilst eating breakfast. Highly recommend.

We love Curlew Cottage ! We have stayed there on numerous occasions since 2016. The cottage is well designed and has everything a couple (and a dog) could need. The boot room is a great idea as you can leave dirty/wet shoes and coats there without going further into the cottage. The sofa and armchair have recently been updated as has the lovely comfy bed. The kitchen is well equipped and very light due to a complete wall of glass.Katie the owner has excellent taste and all furniture etc is great quality. Katie is a lovely lady who cares about her properties and her guests. If the slightest thing is faulty she likes to know as soon as possible,so she can get it put right. Health permitting we’ll be back next year.😊
