First off the location is superb if you're after peace and quiet, wildlife, amazing scenery and access to even more of the above. Not so good if you're after convenience stores, takeaways or loud car engines. Rowan Tree Cottage itself is great, it's clean and comfortable but a relaxed feeling with few rules. Nice hot tub with nervous deer to keep you company. I took one mark off purely as there aren't many plates so it isn't possible to fill the dishwasher. A minor issue though.Our dog loved the garden and smelling all of the wildlife but she is an escape artist so we kept her on a training lead as she would have run after the numerous sheep, deer and goats that surround the cottage.There's a great local cafe at the Glen Sheen visitors centre which is very dog friendly and good value with some really good gifts as well.We're planning on coming back with family and renting the next door cottage, great place in every way.The owner Bob is full of local information and advice and easy to get hold of. We've had a brilliant week, can't wait to come back.

Fabulous cottage in a wonderful setting. The wildlife was something to behold. A red squirrel and woodpecker were frequent visitors to the bird table. Wi-Fi was excellent as was the array of cooking utensils. The cottage was warm and when required could be heated in a short duration. The hot tub and bbq were great additions which we enjoyed making good use off. We will be back!

Brilliant cottage in a fantastic location. Bob the owner met us on arrival to show us round. After this he was never intrusive but always at the end of a phone when needed. We have traveled to scotland numerous times and this is by far the best cottage we have stayed in. We will be back.Andy & Yvonne.
