Originally a farm worker’s cottage, this detached property has been renovated to a very good standard and is situated in the owner’s garden, yet completely private with beautiful views of the surrounding Perthshire countryside and wildlife. Kestrels, Merlins, Peregrines, deer and red squirrels can often be seen, as well as the owner’s chickens, who live in a run which has an electric fence, but are frequently ’free range’. Although the property doesn’t have an enclosed garden, there are gardens to the front and rear and are part of the owners’ general property. This is the ideal holiday location to explore Perthshire and all it has to offer. Nestled between Moncreiffe Hill and the Ochils, The Bothy is within easy reach of the major towns and cities, the historic city of Perth is just a 10 minute drive away, where you can enjoy an evening at the theatre or the award winning concert hall. Perth Museum offers many interactive exhibits and special events. Scone Place, 11 miles, where the Kings of Scotland were crowned, provides an enjoyable day out. There are several whisky distilleries in the area offering tours and there are many golf courses close by, including the Gleneagles. Edinburgh is only 45 minutes’ and Glasgow just over one hour. Enjoy leisurely walks or cycle on the quiet roads and lanes from the front door, or simply relax in the garden and enjoy the scenery. You can read more about The Bothy on their Facebook page www.facebook.com/thebothyateastfieldofdunbarney.
Access to the property is via a rough track. The sofa bed is a 2 seater and can sleep one adult or one child. Up to two dogs only. There are 2 steps at the back door. Initial fuel for the woodburner is included, thereafter available locally at cost.
