Sheeoch is a delightful, spacious detached bungalow in the picturesque village of Comrie, just a 10-minute walk from the village centre. This contemporary accommodation is perfect to unwind in after a day exploring. The enclosed rear garden is a great place for children to play in, or relax with a glass of wine in the large, bright living room and take in the superb views. The open-plan kitchen and dining area is a perfect place for everyone to sit together and plan the next day’s adventure.
The village, which is on the banks of the River Earn amidst glorious Perthshire countryside, has a good selection of eating places, local shops, a cricket club and one of Scotland’s most scenic 9-hole golf courses. There are local events, including Comrie Fortnight in early August and Flambeau New Year celebrations. From you doorstep, you can enjoy lots of lovely cycle routes and walks, and for the more adventurous, there are 43 munro mountains within a 1-hour drive. Loch Earn is 6 miles away, which offers sailing and water sports, and for nature lovers, the Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is just 2 miles. There are many interesting places to visit in the area, including historic castles and gardens, and whisky distilleries. Stirling is 24 miles away, Perth 25 miles, Callander 26 miles, Glasgow 50 miles and Edinburgh 60 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.. 2 steps to entrance.

Lovely house that was very well equipped. Location was great and the enclosed garden was a bonus as we have a dog. Owner checked everything was ok for us and was very helpful. My parents are already talking about their next visit!

This really is, as so many people say in the VERY full guest book, a home from home. The care and attention the owner puts into the property and her guests genuinely show. From the recently re-landscaped outdoor areas and new sun room (not pictured) to the brilliantly equipped kitchen. So refreshing having the pans and equipment to able to cook full meals from scratch served on china plates with sensible size mugs and glasses instead of the usual cheap plates and tiny cups that find there way into so many accommodations. Lovely spot to explore the area, plenty more we could have enjoyed and if you aren’t wanting to roam there are so many pleasant local walks whatever the weather, the scenery around Comrie is equally beautiful come rain or shine. If minimalist, soulless accommodation is what you’re after then Sheeoch may not be for you but if you’re wanting a hug from a vibrant home with plenty of space, a secluded back garden, well placed for exploring and easy to settle into then you should cross your fingers your dates are available…… Thank you Moira, pleasure to meet you and briefly borrow your happy place!
