Well what car I say? What an amazingly comfortable home! Went for 4 days relaxation and got exactly that. Brimming with a real home feeling character with quality furnishings I spent more time than intended just relaxing reading but when I did venture out some fantastic walks right on your doorstep or a short drive away its an absolutely ideal base for those that just want to get away for a relaxing break or being more active. Enough amenties locally that you would not need to leave the village but if you want more Pitlochry is only 15 minutes drive away. Excellent 4 day break away and I will be back!

Attractive period cottage which is very nicely finished/furnished inside and out (original and modern shutters in rooms). Nice, quiet location amongst terraces of similar buildings. Living room, link corridor and master bedroom look out onto lawned garden and towards River Garry. Rooms all very well kitted out and you have everything you need for a holiday for up to 4 people (2 in king-sized master bedroom and two in a small double room). Nice that the master bedroom has loads of room with a seating area and TV, so one couple could use the lounge to watch what they want while the other pair have that available in the master bedroom. Would be perfect for a couple with a teenager who wants to use a TV for game playing. Wi-Fi also very good indeed. Excellent central heating, easy to control, plus a log burner in the lounge as an option for really cold days. Nice to have three areas to sit outside - one near the main door (the side where the handy store is for bicycles and so on, and two on the river side. The property and garden is all on the level, great for anyone with mobility issues. Suited us perfectly as we had Dad with us. We all enjoyed our stay.Blair Atholl is quieter than Pitlochry but still has plenty to see and do locally, especially if you like your walks, cycling, wildlife watching, historic houses and gardens, golf, eateries and beer sampling. Handy local bus (limited timetable though) for trips to Pitlochry, House of Bruar and more. Railway too, but only a few trains stop at Blair Atholl so it's as well to check the timetables. Plenty of places to visit that don't involve a long drive from Blair Atholl, so all visitors will be very happy indeed. This is a lovely place to use as your base when visiting the area. I hope to book this cottage for a week in 2027. But I can't do that until the organisers of a competition set their dates. My fingers are very firmly crossed!
