Tucked away on a peaceful farm just outside Pitlochry, The Wellness Cottage offers an indulgent Highland escape where luxury, nature, and unforgettable experiences come together. Surrounded by rolling Perthshire scenery and overlooking the beautiful Tummel Valley, this is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect. Set within this tranquillity is a private hot tub, sauna and plunge pool.
Formerly a traditional hayloft barn, the cottage has been transformed through an exceptional renovation into a stylish and modern accommodation. Designed to comfortably accommodate six adult guests, the cottage features three beautifully finished ensuite bedrooms, with the option of additional camp beds for a further two children if required.
At the heart of the experience is your private outdoor wellness garden. Here you’ll find a hot tub, sauna, plunge pool, and fire pit, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Whether soaking under the stars or warming up by the fire, relaxation comes effortlessly. The courtyard dining area and stunning balcony provide panoramic views across the Tummel Valley. From your vantage point, you can watch pygmy goats, chickens, donkeys, and alpacas grazing nearby, a uniquely tranquil backdrop to your stay.
Beyond the cottage, the farm is packed with memorable activities for all ages. One of the highlights is the Feeding Time Farm Tour, which begins with a warm welcome of coffee and cake before inviting guests to meet the animals. Enjoy pygmy goat cuddles, Shetland pony apple tossing, chicken feeding and a real egg-collecting hunt, Tamworth pig feeding, and finally, the much-loved alpaca feeding and trekking experience. Walking “on the woolly side” along scenic country paths is both calming and unforgettable. Guests will be able to book with a discount for these activities. Please note the tour is adapted for the winter season.
Families will love the Fairy Glen Magical Treasure Hunt, a whimsical adventure through moonlit trees and winding paths, while the Real Egg Hunt offers a hands-on farm experience that delights children and adults alike. For quieter moments, wander the farm’s 10-acre grounds, where picnic spots and gentle flowing water invite you to pause and unwind.
Rainy days are no problem thanks to the beautifully converted Rainy Day Barn (available for cottage guests between May and mid October) complete with a kitchen, sofas, pool table, foosball, giant Jenga, and board games. Dog owners are especially well catered for, with a secure one-acre off-lead dog park and a Crufts-style agility course, all complimentary for guests.
Just a short drive away, Pitlochry offers charming shops, cafés, distilleries, and easy access to outdoor adventures including hiking, cycling, and Nae Limits adventure activities.

We recently stayed at Tomnauld Farm and it was far more than just a place to stay — it was a full experience and memories. From the moment we arrived, Hannah, Dave and their little girl Alex were incredibly accommodating and made us feel completely at home. They are such warm, hospitable hosts and always replied promptly whenever we had questions. The farm is beautifully located close to Pitlochry, making it the perfect base for exploring the area while enjoying peaceful countryside surroundings. The whole site is truly unique — you can see the care, vision and hard work that has gone into transforming it into what it is today.Animal feeds were fab — we really got to know the animals, learned lots of interesting facts about them, and heard the story of how the farm has grown from when Hannah and Dave first purchased it to where it is today. It made the experience feel personal and authentic rather than just a standard farm visit. The children (10 months - 13 years) absolutely loved it, and the site is incredibly child friendly. One of our favourite moments was going on an egg hunt and then enjoying the tasty, fresh eggs from their hens — such a lovely touch that really adds to the charm of staying on a working farm.We were lucky enough to experience snowfall during our stay, which made everything even more magical. We went sledging and created such special family memories. On the snow day, Hannah and Dave thoughtfully checked in on us to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed — such a kind and reassuring gesture. The property amenities were spotless and very well maintained. The hot tub, plunge pool and sauna are incredible extra perks — immaculately clean and the perfect way to unwind after a day outdoors. It gives the whole stay a luxury countryside retreat feel.Hannah and Dave also recommended a fantastic local restaurant, which we thoroughly enjoyed — their local knowledge really enhances the stay.Tomnauld Farm offers something for everyone — relaxation, hands-on farm experiences, family fun and beautiful surroundings. It is a place where memories are made, whether you are feeding animals, collecting eggs, sledging in the snow or soaking in the hot tub under the stars. We would highly recommend Tomnauld Farm and cannot wait to return. It is a truly special gem. Thank you for everything you did for us.
