This was our second visit and the property is good not great. The positives are it’s central for visiting all the border towns and a good base. The kitchen and downstairs bathroom have been updated since we last visited which was great. We have three dogs and fortunately the weather was good when we were there however the garden lets the property down. Because it was so warm we couldn’t take the dogs walks so we’re relying on using the garden for relaxing however wasn’t a pleasant space at the moment. Overgrown and in need of some cleaning up. On the whole a fabulous wee property but garden needs looked after.

Had a lovely stay at Swinton Mill cottage. Very secure dog friendly garden. Good off Road parking and nice walks directly from cottage. Plenty of parks, Country Houses , tea rooms and pubs within a short drive.

Second time back and the new shower upstairs is a big bonus but the cottage is still in need of some tlc. The view out the back garden is wonderful but the garden needs a gardener.
