Step into the Cart House and you will feel instantly at ease. The accommodation is more akin to a boutique hotel than your average self-catering cottage.. Think fluffy white bathrobes and towels, and your own 6-seater private hot tub with views of an endless sky. Think sumptuous sheep skin rugs under foot and sinking into super kingsize beds under the best quality Egyptian cotton sheets. Think deep bathtubs, powerful rain showers and the most luxurious interiors. But above all, think tranquil, re-energising serenity: a complete change of pace from the hectic working lives that most of us lead.
From the swivelling wood burner to the outdoor relaxation area; from the luxury soaps and body washes to the well-stocked kitchen cupboards, your hosts have thought of everything to make your stay as easy and as special as possible. A fantastic cottage in a great location to explore the Scottish borders ,whether it is the coast or border towns . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay , there is lots to do in this area . Edinburgh is about an hour away. We have stayed in lots of cottages all over the UK and this has to be one of the best .

We would highly recommend the Cart House. If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay this is the place to stay. Surrounded by beautiful countryside. Not far from the Northumbria and Scottish coast line. The Cart House provides all that you need to have an enjoyable stay. Beautifully decorated, all finishing touches perfect. From the fab hot tub to having a soak in the roll top bath. It’s a perfect stay for unwinding and switching off from the outside world.

The cottage is absolutely stunning! Helen has the best taste in decor with lovely touches. The local town of Duns was mainly shut apart from the co-op and I will say the only pub that was worth going into was the Black Bull, Jamie and the team looked after us so well and even drove us home when we couldn’t get a Taxi. We had a really lovely time.
