The Carthouse is an absolutely beautiful property with amazing decor, lovely fixtures and fittings with a definite WOW factor as you enter to start your holiday. Countryside views from the main bedroom and lounge and s huge private hot tub to escape into befor or after a day exploring. Huge modern bathrooms with fantastic showers and baths to soak in. The whole convertion of this old building into a holiday home of such luxury is a credit to the owners. Do not hesitate to book if you are looking for somewhere with such quality and space. Perfect for all of the coast from Berwick upto North Berwick. Edinburgh or inland to Kelso, Melrose, Coldstream etc. It will not disappoint. We were lucky enough to get better weather too than all the rain in the UK....so an added bonus 😀 👍

We had a fantastic weekend visiting some of the stunning coastline around the Borders, and each day looked forward to returning to The Carthouse. The hosts have a keen eye for style, it’s furnished beautifully, but importantly, also very comfortably. We ate in every night and found the kitchen to be well equipped for rustling up our dinner. Really enjoyed using the spotlessly clean hot tub. The log burner is very easy to use and very effective. Comfortable beds, great showers, peace and quiet, unobtrusive and helpful hosts. Did not want to leave! 100% recommended.
