This was a fantastic cottage. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a week away. Sandra was a great host who responded vey quickly to any queries. I will definitely be back and can't wait for my next vist.

Smell of damp when entering property.No heat on only small storage heaters no instructions on how to work them. One single bed against a storage heater. Bathroom towel radiator did not work. Wood fire burner not been cleaned cobwebs and blackened door window. Front door has tiny crack on it so you could see out doors, front door had not been used for a long time due to cobwebs. Kitchen sink not cleaned, windows had condensation water marks and mould.Toilet in bathroom green at the bottom.Window handle in bedroom missing and window open.Beautiful scenery, beautiful views, and lots of things to do in the area, shame we did not stay. This cottage would be perfect if the above was rectified. Owner Contacted to discuss with little effect.

Outstanding hosts who are very responsive and kind. The cottage is very comfortable and extremely quiet yet only a few minutes from town. It is set in a beautiful countryside and I would highly recommend staying at Acreknowe Cottage.
