It boasts hill walking in the Lammermuirs with the Southern Upland Way nearby. The beach at Gullane, 23 miles, is within easy reach, as are the Borders abbeys, North Berwick’s Sea Life centre and boat trips to Bass Rock to see seals and puffins. Enjoy Edinburgh’s historic castle, free museums, excellent choice of restaurants and stylish shops. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Probably one of the best cottages we have stayed in. I cannot think of an improvement that could be made. There was only the two us so there was plenty of everything that we needed.

Clean and comfortable accommodation in the quiet village of Oxton. The cottage is part of small farm run by the hosts who are very helpful and friendly. Village pub and shop nearby. We would stay there again.

We loved our stay at Digger’s cottage. Very cosy & comfortable & had everything we needed. The hosts, Hamish & Ann are lovely, I could listen to Hamish’s stories all day. Would highly recommend and we will be going back
