When we turned up we thought wow!! Set in a beautiful setting very well kept gardens The lodge itself was modern clean and tidyHad wine and biscuits as a welcome gift But … we had trouble sleeping as their are 3 cockerels on site with free roaming chickens The very early wake up calls daily took their toll on us and we cut our stay short This wasn’t mention on the. Description of the property and if it was we wouldn’t have stayed as we are just not use to itThe owner and cottage.com were great and understood and we got a refund of two nights. But as this was our only break away this year felt cheated! The place is stunning and if cockerels are your thing and don’t bother you then it’s high recommend but if you just want peace and quite the id say not
