Seal Rocks is situated at Lendalfoot and has the most amazing views over the sea to Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran. The sunsets are something to behold and the beach is just a stone’s throw away.
Seal Rocks is just a 10-minute drive away from the seaside town of Girvan where you will find shops, restaurants, and a leisure centre with swimming pool. If you fancy something a bit different you can book a boat trip from Girvan harbour out to Ailsa Craig to see the nesting birds or book a fishing trip. Girvan also has great train links to the city of Glasgow perfect for a day out.
The Ayrshire coastal path runs along the coast and there are numerous sandy beaches to visit and coastal trails to explore. The area is steeped in history, with many ruined castles to explore, such as Dunure, Turnberry and Greenan. The world-famous Turnberry Resort is close by and in addition to golf, has a fantastic spa and outdoor centre. A visit and tour of Culzean Castle, designed by Robert Adams, is one not to be missed with its dramatic clifftop location, as is a trip to the 18th century Dumfries House, part of the Princes Foundation and home to an unrivalled collection of Chippendale furniture. The 2000-acre estate has been beautifully designed with stunning walks throughout the grounds. The pretty seaside towns of Ballantrae, Ayr, Prestwick and Troon are only a short drive away. The islands of Cumbrae and Arran are easily reached for a day out whilst day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan. Beach 150 yards.

A very spacious house with an elevation making the most of a beautiful seaside location with excellent views of Ailsa Craig. Triple aspect with views of Ailsa Craig to the front of the property and down the coast in both directions from the end windows. Seals and abundant bird life. Very comfortable beds, large well equipped bathrooms and well appointed kitchen.We visited Culzean Castle and Gardens, Alloway (Robbie Burns), Castle Kennedy and Glentrool Country Park and would recommend all of them. There are plenty of good local walks. Austin's restaurant in Girvan is excellent and would stand out in a bigger town or city than Girvan.

We had a fabulous stay at Seal Rocks. This accommodation really is so much better in real life, the photos do not do it justice. The kitchen is perfect for cooking any meal. The bed and bed linen in the main bedroom area is a very comfortable super king size, with an en suite. The living room area is bright, airy and very comfortable too. The large outside area is mainly paved and has lovely wooden dining area overlooking the beautiful view. Our lurcher enjoyed the beach at low tide. The wildlife was amazing we were lucky enough to see everything from deer to dolphins and many species of birds. Fabulous!Val, the owner is only a text away if you need anything.We would love to return.

We had another wonderful week at Seal Rocks. The views from the house, over the sea to Alisa Craig, are simply stunning, especially at sunset and sunrise (we travel with dogs so often see sunrise!). The house is perfectly located to explore the Ayrshire coast, with a beach across the road if you don’t want to use the car. Culzean Castle, Girvan and Dean Castle are all worth a visit, with lovely walks and places to eat! The house is very comfortable and immaculately clean, the photos really don’t do it justice. The well equipped kitchen makes eating in easy with anything you need available. Val is on hand should you require anything during your stay. We loved it so much we’ve booked again!
