Situated in the coastal village of Ballantrae, this beautiful, detached, upside down style cottage boasts stunning views from the upstairs living room, with patio doors leading onto a large decking area. A private hot tub in the garden also benefits from the most amazing seascape and is perfect to relax in after a day of exploring the surrounding area.
This is a fantastic area for walkers. The property has river and beach walks direct from the doorstep and is situated directly on the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal route with stunning views and scenery. The seaside town of Girvan, boasting a harbour and leisure centre with a swimming pool, is only a 15-minute drive away. Boat trips, both fishing and bird watching, are available. The towns of Ayr, Troon and Prestwick are all good for a day out, with plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. Heading further down the coast, you can catch a ferry over to the islands of Great Cumbrae, Bute and Arran. Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily accessible for a day out and Dumfries and Galloway is only a short drive, where there are many coastal villages, sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
Racquets and balls for tennis may be hired from owner by prior arrangement for £10.

Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable.Lovely cosy cottage to explore the area from with lots of little touches such as toys, towels and beds for the dogs, a welcome package for us and a very informative information folder.

The cottage is absolutely amazing, it has been cleverly laid out to make the most of the stunning landscape. It is well equipped and beautifully decorated, and the owners clearly understand hospitality, with everything being provided, right down to bath robes and luxury hand soaps, giving the feel of a boutique hotel. The hot tub and log burner take the accommodation to the next level and the grounds are huge and completely secure, making it a perfect retreat for you and your four legged friends. We will definitely be returning!

Loved the bungalow, very comfy and well equipped, with views to the sea and the cute little lambs in the field at the bottom of the garden. Good sized parking area, with very large lawn and lovely hot tub. Washing machine but no dryer. Temperamental TV with loss of some channels. Starter pack for wood burner but this doesn't include wood for the first night but we'd taken our own anyway. Would have given 5 stars but for a couple of issues - the bungalow is on the main A road with lots of road noise all day from large wagons travelling to and from the ferry port further south and the large lawned area isn't private as this is lower and adjacent to the main A road with no screening, so is visible to all cars, lorries and pedestrians coming in to town.
