On the edge of the village is Broughton Ales, Scotlands first initiated microbrewery. The cosy village tearoom with licensed bar is just a few doors away. The attractive border towns of Biggar and Peebles are close by and both provide a good range of dining, shopping and tourist attractions. Edinburgh with its wide appeal is less than an hours drive away to the north east, whilst just over an hour to the north west takes you into the heart of Glasgow.
