Casa Duran is a cosy, semi-detached cottage, providing spacious, contemporary accommodation, and has been thoughtfully furnished to provide comfort and a welcoming atmosphere. Situated on the edge of the conservation village of Killin, within Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, the location couldn’t be better for relaxing, unwinding and leaving the stresses of everyday life behind. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen from your cottage including red squirrels, wild birds and red deer. Curl up with a book for a lazy afternoon in the cosy living room, or on warmer days, open the French doors and sit on the patio enjoying great views over the Perthshire countryside. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare that special meal, but if you prefer a break from the kitchen then the local restaurant is only a 5-minute walk away.
Leave the car behind as there is an abundance of walks on the doorstep along the riverside and within the surrounding countryside and hills, and the spectacular Falls of Dochart. Killin plays host to several events throughout the year including a music festival, Highland games and a fireworks display at Hogmanay, and the village has a good selection of bars, restaurants, cafés and shops. The adjacent River Lochay and River Dochart, joining the nearby Loch Tay, are perfect for a spot of trout or salmon fishing, and boats, equipment and gillies can be hired and lessons available locally. With castles, historic monuments, whisky distilleries and a Highland Safari, there is something for everyone. Shop 800 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

4th time in this cottage .It’s getting a little tired now needs a refresher with some painting and new mattress in master bedroom as gave my wife a bad back Downstairs toilet needs adjusting.Lover’s location would still return if issues were sorted

We had a really lovely stay here. The place was cosy, well equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. It felt very homely and we would definitely recommend staying.The surrounding area is beautiful and has great amenities nearby – there’s a Co-op supermarket in town, EV chargers available, and we especially enjoyed the amazing fish and chips on Friday!The only issue we experienced was with the car park. Unfortunately our car was hit while parked there and we returned to find the front bumper hanging off. There are no cameras or CCTV in the car park and no note was left, so we had to claim through our car insurance. We were told that a lot of contractors stay here and frequently come and go in the car park, so parking is essentially at your own risk. It would really help if cameras were installed to prevent situations like this in the future.Aside from that unfortunate incident, we had a great stay overall and would still highly recommend the property.
