If you want complete quiet, this is the place for you.Ideally placed for visiting Stirling Castle, The Kelpies, Falkirk wheel and Edinburgh.Easy access to train station from Linlithgow.Lovely little town to explore and lots of country parks nearby.Cottage itself could have done with a spruce up. However everything was functional.

We arrived at Ledi and the first thing that struck us was the view and the ambient sounds. Ledi is surrounded by trees and overlooks a field of sheep. There's a decking area which is not overlooked due to the placement of the other lodges. All we could hear was the birds, the wind in the trees and the sheep. It was blissful. On entering, I was a little bit disappointed as the place looked a little tired. It's nothing that a coat of paint and a new sofa couldn't rectify. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the bedding clean and fresh without being overscented as is often the case. The shower room was great but my teenage granddaughter complained about the lack of a lock! The kitchen is small but very well equipped. There's everything you need and all in easy reach.Linlithgow isn't too far away. I would say it's a pleasant walk. Unfortunately I'm on crutches these days so wasn't able to enjoy that.If you want a meal out, there are plenty of options in Linlithgow to suit every taste and preference. My granddaughter's favourite was the Crannog Cafe which, in her words, does the best mac and cheese ever. There are plenty shops and supermarkets nearby. The supermarkets are all together at the opposite end to the fantastic main street that has some wonderful surprises. The Loch is easy to get to and a lovely place to relax. I would definitely recommend Ledi but be prepared for the single track roads that seem to surround it. Very scenic but also a little hair-raising.
