The Lodge in Linlithgow is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location with easy access to local attractions and transport links to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and beyond. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, the peaceful setting, and the thoughtful touches provided by the host, although some minor suggestions for improvements are noted.

Guests consistently describe The Lodge as spotlessly clean, immaculate, and well-maintained, indicating exceptional cleanliness standards.

The property's location is celebrated for its proximity to Linlithgow, scenic walking routes, and convenient transport links for exploring Edinburgh and other areas, making it an ideal base for sightseeing.

Reviewers find The Lodge very comfortable, highlighting the comfortable beds and the overall homey feeling. Some guests mention the lack of internal stairs as a positive for those with toddlers, though a few suggest additional aids for the elderly.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped and maintained. However, a few guests noted a limited amount of ovenware and large pans, and a desire for shelves in the shower, slightly impacting the score.

The host's thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of a box of extras and the provision of home comforts. While gifts are appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed.

This is a lovely place to stay, a beautifully modernised traditional stone building with attractive views through trees and across farmland to Cockleroy Hill and Beecraigs Country Park, yet on the edge of town so in touch with all Linlithgow has to offer. It is sparklingly clean and comfortable - a very welcoming cottage to return to.
