The rspb reserve at Balranald is only a short drive away from the cottage where you can enjoy looking for the corncrake or walking on the flower carpeted machair. Whales and basking sharks visit in the summer and can be seen regularly offshore around the islands.. Those who love to fish can enjoy sea and loch fishing which is available locally (permit required for lochs).

The cottage is in a fantastic location. The view from each window changes with every tide in a magical way. The cottage is warm, very clean and well equipped. The wonderful welcome hamper was an unexpected delight. In over 15 years of self catering in the Outer Hebrides this cottage ranks amongst the best. We would love to stay again.
