We really enjoyed our week at the cottage which is warm, cosy and clean and in an excellent location. Surrounded by wildlife including lots of corncrakes which are very noisy, plus lots of ground nesting birds on the track to the beach so had to keep the dogs on leads. It is very well equipped but the listing information does need to be clearer. The fridge freezer mentioned is only a tiny ice box inside the fridge and no freezer otherwise. Luckily I didn't stock up on freezer food before arriving as I planned! Also there is no hanging space in the bedrooms although there are plenty of large drawers for storage. The main issue was the poor condition of the frying pans and baking trays where the non stick coating was flaking off and very scratched. Not good in these days of concern about forever chemicals (PFAS). If these were replaced I would have given 5 stars. These comments are meant constructively as we and our 2 spaniels had a really good stay and would definitely book again.

The house was comfy and well equipped with everything we needed. It overlooks the machair and it’s a short walk to the beach. Plenty of birdlife. Handy for visiting places on North Uist. Overall we had an enjoyable week.
