In a truly unique location amid the spectacular scenery of the Island of Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides, Beach Bay Cottage is nestled on the edge of the unspoilt white sands of Uig Bay, a National Scenic Area and one of the most beautiful beaches on Scotland’s Atlantic Coast.
A stunning natural stone and turf roofed single-storey detached cottage built into the hillside reflecting an ancient neolithic design with breathtaking beach views, and with access to a family friendly beach less than 110 yards from the door. In a very secluded and magical location, Beach Bay Cottage and the surrounding area is a paradise for artists, photographers and bird-watchers. There are many outdoor activities nearby, such as hill walking, surfing, kite surfing, fishing (Apr-Oct, licence required), golf, wildlife watching, boat trips (including to the World Heritage Site of St Kilda), diving, sea kayaking and cycling.
The landscape and history of the Outer Hebrides, together with the hospitality of its people, provide a wonderful escape from the pressures of modern life and offer an active or relaxing family holiday or the perfect romantic retreat.

Another great holiday in this stunning property!The view from window is constantly changing & absolutely mesmerising.The local beaches are so beautiful & you can often have them all to yourself.The cottage is equipped with everything you need.

What an amazing cottage and what a jaw-dropping location! Superb from top to bottom and absolutely loved our week in Lewis. 100% recommend to anyone thinking of a week away from it all. 180 degree view from the lounge windo was spectacular and changed every day - what a view to eat breakfast, lunch, evening meal etc. Read the visitor book for some great tips on what to do - I recommend a visit to Uig Sands Restaurant and a 2-hour boat trip with Sea-Trek (we saw an incredible 6 sea-eagles and dolphins swimming beside our boat...WOW!). There is so much natural beauty here - a few miles in any direction and you're assured of something different so it's well worth getting in the car & taking a drive. Some lovely walks (even in the rain/wind) on your doorstop as well. Oh.......lots of artists on this island as well. You'll love it!
