Situated in Ness, a widespread district in the northern part of the Isle of Lewis with the famous Butt of Lewis, with its majestic Stevenson lighthouse, only a short distance from the cottage. Also close by is the Eoropie Playpark which is set in the sand dunes and makes a great day out for kids and adults alike. Coastal walking from the cottage takes you down to Port of Ness harbour which featured in Peter May’s novel ’Blackhouse.’ The island has so much to offer for a truly ’get away from it all’ experience - the wildlife, bird watching, shark and whale watching are all outstanding. The historic sites of the Callanish Standing Stones, Carloway Broch and Gearrannan Blackhouse Village are all worth a visit with the most pristine white sandy beaches and azure water that will truly amaze you...so come and enjoy! Beach ¼ mile. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 5 miles.
