An impressive cottage with large garden and ample parking on the private driveway, which upon entrance sweeps up and around. There’s plenty of space for all the family, a living area with comfy seating, and warming wood burner perfect for those chillier evenings. The property also features a separate dining room and fully equipped kitchen with additional breakfast area, as well as the fantastic bonus of an extra wood burner. Glanrhyd comfortably accommodates up to six guests across its three bedrooms, alongside a family bathroom and separate toilet.
The fantastic island of Anglesey has 125 miles of coastline to explore, and you’ll be spoilt for choice along the way for which beaches and famous sites to visit. There are miles of coastal paths to explore where you can take in the magnificent scenery whilst spotting the local wildlife. You are just a short drive away from some of the island’s famous sites, such as South Stack Lighthouse and Beaumaris, a unesco World Heritage Site with a historic moated castle. You can take a boat trip from here at certain times of the year to visit Puffin Island! The Rib Ride boats also run from various locations across the island for the vast majority of the year and offer a fascinating insight into history and the local wildlife. There is something for everyone of all ages to enjoy in this diverse region no matter your interests.

My wife, our 8-year-old son and I have just returned from a 7 night stay at Glanrhyd and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hosts were truly hospitable and made our stay feel extra special - even going out of their way to help us out of a sticky situation with a pre-booked grocery delivery when we got stuck in traffic on the way.The cottage was immaculately clean and we couldn't fault it at all - everything we needed was there, including a lovely welcome pack with milk, tea bags, bara brith (Welsh fruit cake), stroopwafels and other little bits we needed whilst we were there. Beds were really comfortable too!Don't let the location put you off this place - whilst it is on a main road, you have to remember that this is a rural location in the North West of Anglesey, so traffic was sporadic and no busier than your average cul-de-sac. In fact, Glanrhyd was ideally situated near several beautiful beaches - Porth Swtan (Church Bay) was a particular highlight for us, and Cemaes and several other cracking beaches were just minutes away. Some days we ventured to the far side of Anglesey, to places like Benllech and Beaumaris, which were around 40-45 minutes' drive through the picturesque countryside.We would definitely return to Glanrhyd!There were a couple of minor suggestions that could have helped. We had only 2 toilet rolls for 3 of us for 7 nights, so had to pop out to buy more. The shower also didn't seem to get very warm, even though the water temperature was fine everywhere else in the house. And being in a rural spot, the cottage has a septic tank which wasn't a problem in itself, but it had a red flashing light that beeped every few seconds for the whole stay - not loud, but enough that we couldn't really sit outside for evening meals in the sunshine without it being a bit distracting. None of this detracted from our wonderful stay here, though.Thanks Gwenda, Owain and Richard!
