Guests say

Riverside Cottage in Amlwch, Anglesey, is a well-regarded holiday rental praised for its high standard fixtures, cleanliness, and peaceful village location. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches, although some mention the low bedroom ceiling and noise from adjacent properties. The local pub and shop add to the charm of the village setting.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and well-presented, with immaculate bedding and a warm welcome. However, a few guests noted issues with cleanliness such as an unclean oven and presence of dog hairs, which slightly lowers the score.

The cottage is consistently praised for its peaceful village location, proximity to local amenities like a pub and shop, and easy driving distance to Anglesey's beaches and attractions. The quiet and friendly village is a highlight for many guests.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the bed comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a pleasant garden. However, the low ceiling in the bedroom and the noise from the adjacent property's upstairs room are noted discomforts for some guests.

Facilities are generally well-received, with excellent appliances and a well-furnished lounge. Some guests suggest improvements such as better shower pressure and a more comfortable sofa. The lack of recycling provision was also a point of disappointment for some.

While many guests mention and appreciate the thoughtful touches like welcome gifts, there is not enough information to guarantee such gestures for future guests. Therefore, while the thoughtfulness is acknowledged, it cannot be scored.

It had everything we needed for a short break and will definitely be back in the near future.

Comfy bed and settee and the table was plenty big enough for 2. The table with high chairs in the kitchen wasn't needed, and to create more room in there I would remove it. I can't really understand all the negative reviews. Some people must just go looking for faults. Someone has said that the bedroom in the eaves wouldn't suit the elderly or the infirm. Well, I'm elderly and my wife is currently wheelchair-bound, but we had no problems. Settee too low? Nonsense. The shower was perfectly fine too, and if it isn't as powerful as at home, that's probably because the water pressure is lower in the cottage. Only complaint we have is the weather. One good day out of 6, but on the upside, what lovely locals there are in the village pub! Cheers!

Arrival gifts of wine and chocolates looked nice but the chocolates were already open !so didn't touch those .Cobwebs in Room with dead spiders were not nice either ! sofa was worn out as it was like sitting on the floor and difficult to get up from.Clock on wall not working ,window on door to back garden filthy ,moving to the kitchen, enough wash up liquid for one wash ! Toaster that only worked on one side,so had to turn bread round to toast both sides .Moving upstairs ,duvet cover inside out ,zip was inside ,wonder whether it had been washed or just turned inside out ! Ceiling very low ,but we knew that ,but lower than we thought .But finally the reason we left two days early was because an unopended packet of biscuits in the kitchen cupboard had been partially eaten by MICE of which we have photographic proof !!!So in conclusion i would not recommend Riverside cottage is Anglesey to anybody unless you like your holiday shared with rodents in the cottage.
