About this property

The Coach House is a charming holiday cottage located in one of Beaumaris' higgledy piggledy streets. It is just a few minutes away from the waterfront and the town centre.

On the first floor the kitchen, dining and living area is a lovely open plan space with beams and a oriel style window. The well equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine/drier, microwave and toaster. There is a dining table and four chairs. The comfortable sofas are set around an electric flame effect fire and TV.

On the ground floor there is one double and one twin bedroom. The bathroom, also on the ground floor, has a bath with shower over, loo, wash hand basin and two heated towel rails.

There is a gravelled area outside with table and chairs.

Beaumaris is an historic town, complete with moated castle, set on the banks of the Menai Strait where you can watch the boats sail by or just marvel at the mountains beyond. The pier is a favourite spot for crabbing and the town itself has a lovely range of individual shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs.

Guests should note the gravelled area outside has a pedestrian right of way for a neighbouring property.

As with many cottages in Beaumaris there is no allocated parking. Guests can use neighbouring side streets or purchase a weekly ticket for The Green.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.

No parking but we paid £35 for a week pass at Beaumaris Green car park which was a 5 minute walk.

It was a beautifully decorated place and was really comfortable. Nice and private tucked away. Very quiet and relaxing. It had all the facilities we needed and more. So on the whole brilliant. If I was to have a slight issue it would be the clear glass panel in the front door, I would put a small curtain on it to draw to at night for privacy as anyone walking past can see in and there is a cctv camera on the garage opposite which potentially is pointing in. The only other thing was the tv kept buzzing but we weren’t there to watch tv but at night when the kids were in bed we would watch it for a bit and that was a bit annoying, but the place was so nice I don’t like to complain, but if no one mentioned it you wouldn’t know and couldn’t sort it out. But great holiday and will be back. Thank you
