Guests say

Hawthorn Cottage in Beaumaris offers a charming and comfortable stay with stunning sea views and proximity to the beach. Guests appreciate the well-equipped and clean apartments, the peaceful surroundings, and the wildlife. The property is ideal for dog owners and nature enthusiasts, with some guests already booking return visits.

Most guests found the apartment clean and tidy, with particular praise for the bathroom and bedroom cleanliness. However, a few noted a dog smell in the sitting area and some cleaning upon arrival, slightly affecting the score.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, proximity to the beach, and beautiful coastal walks. The presence of red squirrels and the stunning sea views from the property contribute to the high score.

Guests generally found the apartment comfortable, with good beds and a cosy atmosphere. Some concerns about steep stairs and the need for an updated bathroom slightly lower the score.

The facilities received mixed reviews. Some guests mentioned well-equipped kitchens and appreciated the thoughtful touches like a dog towel and wood for the burner. However, others noted the lack of sharp knives, cutting boards, and inconsistent hot water, indicating room for improvement.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of items like a dog towel and a basket of wood. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every guest, the score reflects the overall positive but not consistent experience.

Nice apartment, beautiful views. Down a long track and no local amenities so a car is a necessity. We found the apartment plenty warm enough despite it being very cold outside. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Overall would recommend as a good base for visiting Anglesey.

On arrival ladies met us at door were extremely rude . We knew we were earlier but just wanted help on where we could go for a drink and walk and they were so rude . Flat was ok .. I cleaned it on arrival as it felt so cold and dark. No heating on at all and no hot water on arrival. The first day was freezing so lit a fire but we had to go off at night to find a petrol station to buy more logs as there was hardly any in flat on arrival and heating took ages to warm . Especially in the weather ..heating should have been on . This was our 27th cottage holiday over the last 12 years and we were extremely disappointed with this place. Flat bed was ok but not comfy and sheet was marked . Mold around bath and toilet was stained . The beaches were amazing. Pubs that were open were lovely ... but Flat was not. We would not recommend this flat unless you are preferred for a lower standard and extremely rude staff. Sorry but this holiday we were let down and wouldn't go again which is unusual for us and normally we always go back .

Lovely flat, clean and tidy. It was so cozy and comfortable just what was needed for a short stay. I would definitely stay again.
