Beaumaris is a well-known historic town on Anglesey's Isle of Anglesey, located on the Menai Strait and facing the Snowdonia Mountain range, which makes for a spectacular dawn. It is also recognised as a major yachting centre, with its mediaeval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to Edward I's reign and its Victorian pier, jail, and courthouse. Beaumaris is steeped in history and retains a significant portion of its mediaeval street plan. The town's environment, diversity of architectural styles and periods, variable scale, open spaces, varying roofs, and overall quality all add to its charm.

The furnishings and finish are to a high standard. The lounge and kitchen are very thoughtfully laid out, and the settee being the best we have encountered in a rental property. It is worth mentioning that the electrically adjustable end's of the settee were a great addition. All of the usual everyday requirements are provided in the kitchen area, and we cooked several meals without any issues. The heating is underfloor and cannot be adjusted at a timed 20 degrees. There is a small oil filled electric heater with can be used for top up, as there is no fireplace. The bedrooms are tastefully finished, but small apart from the twin room. We were unsure if the comfortable double beds were small doubles! The twin room would benefit from wall light switch's so you do not have to get out of bed to turn the lights off. The En-suite is a toilet and sink only, with one bath-shower room for the whole property. In addition to the property, there is an orchard and barbecue for the use of guests. We were unable to use this facility due to the weather, but it would be lovely in the summer. There were a few niggles. No welcome pack was provided, no hooks to bedroom or bathroom doors to hang bathrobes and towels etc. The rear bedroom widows look out to a farm yard with farm machinery. On arrival generally, you are only allowed to use the property driveway to unload and load, parking is in a parking area at the end of the drive. If you wish to use the electric charger for the car, please note that this is at an additional cost. However, these issues would not prevent us from rebooking the property again. For eating out we would recommend The Boathouse in Red Wharf Bay, and Ann's Pantry in Moelfe and Beaumaris for fish and chips. Overall, we would recommend the property.

The description of the property was very accurate and everything was exactly as shown in the photographs. Loved the way the property had been furnished and the little additions such as old woodworking planes etc in the rafters were a very nice touch. Shame we couldn't guarantee the weather which was atrocious but we would definitely consider this for future breaks in the summer. The extra touches of milk in the fridge and Welsh cakes on the table for our arrival were most welcome.
