We had a lovely time in the cottage. It was comfortable, well equipped, clean and perfect for a small family plus a dog. It is accessed down a quiet lane surrounded by numerous dog walks and beautiful countryside, farmland and the estuary, with plenty of opportunities for bird and nature watching. In terms of the position of a cottage, it was five minutes walk from a very small town with a pub and a corner shop. We ate at the pub twice. However, another town called Valley, about 3 miles away had more facilities including restaurants, pubs and a train station. We had great fish and chips plus a meal at Catch 22. Fab!The position of the cottage overall mean that you can get anywhere within 30 to 40 minutes including NationalTrust properties, beaches, castles, towns, coastal walking. There was so much to see and do!I recommend Alarch as a perfect base for a quiet retreat, and exploration across Anglesey.Great communication from Jane the owner also, as we left items in the cottage which they kindly offered to send back to us. We’d happily go back!
