Ty Fferm Bodlasan is a charming cottage praised for its tranquil location, proximity to a private beach, and homely atmosphere. Guests appreciate the characterful property, welcoming hosts, and the peaceful environment. The presence of farm animals and a real fire add to the rustic experience. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests planning return visits.
Most guests found the cottage clean and welcoming, with fresh bedding and towels. However, a few mentioned cleanliness issues with crockery and cutlery, and one noted the need for a more thorough cleaning and maintenance. The majority of reviews did not raise cleanliness as a concern.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, privacy, and stunning views. The short walk to a private beach and proximity to local attractions in Anglesey are frequently mentioned as highlights. The secluded setting is consistently appreciated by guests.
Guests describe the cottage as comfortable, homely, and well-equipped, with spacious rooms and a cosy living area. Some guests mentioned the beds could be more comfortable and the low ceilings in the kitchen as a minor inconvenience, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
The facilities are generally well-received, with guests enjoying the real fire, farm animals, and outdoor space. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a leaky bath, broken toaster, and a piano that was unplayable. These issues suggest room for improvement in this category.
The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of a warm welcome, a welcome pack, and fresh eggs from the chickens. While these gestures are appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.
Llanfachraeth 1 mile.
A delightful, stone-built detached Grade II listed farmhouse on a working arable farm, in an isolated position at the end of a long track, 1 mile from Llanfachraeth village and its local pub, yet just a few hundred yards walk to the coast, deserted coves and beaches found along this craggy western coast of Anglesey. This lovely Anglesey cottage is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1849, and has been sympathetically restored to retain many original features, with exposed beams, sash windows, slate floors, and low doorways throughout. This Anglesey cottage offers a fitted kitchen with pantry/utility room, a separate dining room with exposed beams, Rayburn stove and upright piano, and two delightful sitting rooms, allowing the adults to relax in one room, whilst the children play in the other. Outside, this Anglesey cottage is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are fantastic views of Holyhead Bay and the cottage has its own private track down to the coast. There is an enclosed lawn, a safe place for the children to play whilst you sit and soak up the sunshine, or cook the catch of the day over the BBQ. This Anglesey cottage is in a secluded location, set in the centre of 100 acres of the owners' farmland, next to some of the farm's old outbuildings, now used for storage, offering a fantastic chance to get away from it all. This cottage on Anglesey is also in a great location for Melin Llynon windmill, South Stack Lighthouse, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Plas Newydd NT mansion, beautiful Snowdonia and is close enough to Holyhead Port to even enjoy a day-trip to Ireland. An ideal Anglesey cottage to enjoy a year-round seaside holiday in a lovely, peaceful coastal location.
Llanfachraeth on Anglesey is a small village with a shop and a pub, on the lovely West coast, a few miles from the sandy beach at Trearddur Bay. It's a centuries-old farmhouse and so you need to go with its flow and its quirks.

We have booked twice a year and are booked again next year. Apart from the small dining area, which is not a problem for us, the rooms are spacious. Two sitting rooms allow us to spread.

It is in a beautiful location and only a very short walk from the sea. The rooms are lovely; we enjoyed eating together round the dinner table and relaxing in the garden and living room. The piano is a great addition and was really appreciated by my daughter. The view of the sea from the bath is brilliant! The beach is quiet and great for kayaking. We had a fantastic holiday.
