Swallows Nest is a fabulous, spacious semi-detached bungalow, adjoining the owner’s country cottage, situated in a fabulous location for year round holidays and breaks for two. Its interior is warm and welcoming, perfect for winter escapes with a cosy wood burner and also enjoying lovely rural views.
With easy access to the A55, Swallows Nest is ideally positioned for exploring Anglesey and further afield some of North Wales’ premier attractions, including ZipWorld, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway, and the Llanberis Lake Railway.
Other places to visit include the Sea Zoo, the Butterfly Palace, castles, windmills, the rspb reserves, superb golden sandy beaches, and of course many wonderful walking and cycling opportunities. The Snowdonia National Park is an easily accessible, with its stunning mountain scenery, array of outdoor pursuits and the port of Holyhead makes day trips to Dublin possible. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Dirty blind in kitchen window and in bathroom.Dishwasher but no tablets to use it, cooker and hob greasy and no hob cleaner provided. Broken bin in bathroom.Mattress poor quality, king size bed but double bed quilt which wasn’t wide enough to cover two adults. Musty smell throughout the property, we had to buy air freshener and scented candles.No luxury touches at all. Outside areas most unattractive, old barn on view from bedroom window. Overall very very basic cottage. Would not return nor recommend to anyone.Could be really nice with a little thought and attention to detail.

The owners Chris and Sharon live next door but are not in your face. Having said that, if there is anything missing or something you need, then they are very quick to oblige. The bed is really comfortable and the room sizes are generous, so that the dogs had enough space without imposing on ours. Some lovely beaches nearby, and there are plenty of shops and a petrol station 2.4 miles away in Valley (Y Fall). Supermarkets can be found at Penrhos retail park just off the A55 towards Holyhead. We were at the Swallows Nest last year and again this year, we love the tranquility.
