Yr Hen Stabl is a spacious and cosy cottage with a well-equipped kitchen, clean interiors, and a secure garden ideal for dogs. Guests particularly enjoy the hot tub and the property's peaceful location, though some note the proximity to a busy road. The cottage's charm and amenities make it a popular choice for a relaxing holiday.
The cottage is generally praised for its cleanliness, with well-equipped and clean kitchen facilities. However, a few guests noted the presence of dog hair and outdoor cigarette stubs, slightly affecting the score.
The property's peaceful setting is appreciated, but its location on a fast road without pavements affects walkability with dogs. Proximity to local amenities and attractions is a plus.
The cottage is described as cosy and warm, with underfloor heating and a log burner. Some guests found the sofas and mattresses less comfortable, suggesting room for improvement.
Facilities like the hot tub and secure garden are highlights, but some maintenance issues with furniture, appliances, and heating are noted. The absence of a DVD player, despite being advertised, is also mentioned.
While guests mention receiving tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits upon arrival, there are not enough references to gifts to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Quiet place, shops restaurant and pubs easy short drive away- road a bit too busy to walk on. Accommodation very comfortable, everything you need.Only downside was log burner quite hard to light, despite experience! Found food from Catch 22 a bit disappointing- too salty to taste much else. Pub across the way very good value.

Lovely cottage. Well maintained and spotless. Clean hot tub. Plenty of cooking utensils and crockery in the kitchen. Must be underfloor heating as we were toasty however with no radiators difficult in drying costumes / towels ..Towel rail in the bathroom made do ..Only a short drive from the village or 10 mins to Holyhead where you had Tesco . Morrisons. ALDI. and a retail park. . Beautiful beaches less than 15 mins drive ... Will defo be back... x loved it ....

The owner Phil was a real pleasure to deal with and keeps on top of all the maintenance at the properties. The cottage was really spacious and warm, plenty of room for the 5 of us and two dogs. Great location too for trips out to see attractions on the West of the island. Penrhos is 5 minutes away and great for the dogs and woodland walks. I would highly recommend a stay - even in January when the weather could be better :-).
