The Studio @ The Old Post Office in Cemaes Bay, Anglesey, offers a quaint and well-appointed cottage experience. Guests appreciate its proximity to local attractions and the comfort it provides, making it a favoured spot for repeat visits. The property is praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and the thoughtful touches like welcome gifts, contributing to a pleasant stay.
Reviews indicate a generally clean environment, with some guests noting spotless conditions upon arrival. However, there are mentions of specific cleanliness issues such as gritty floors, a green shower drain, and a need for a deep clean, which slightly lowers the overall impression.
The property's location is highly regarded for its easy access to beaches, shops, and local eateries. Despite some concerns about nearby construction and untidy adjacent properties, the proximity to attractions in Anglesey is a significant positive factor.
Comfort receives mixed reviews. While some guests find the property comfortable and the bed cosy, others mention issues with the bed's softness, lack of windows, and difficulty in controlling the temperature. The lack of comfortable seating also contributes to a lower comfort rating.
Facilities are modern and generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. However, there are several reports of maintenance issues such as a problematic fridge, lack of outdoor furniture, and difficulties with the shower temperature control, indicating room for improvement.
Guests often mention the thoughtful gestures, such as welcome packs with wine and dog treats, which add to the enjoyment of their stay. While these gifts are appreciated, it is important to note that such offerings may vary and are not guaranteed for every visit.
The Studio is a ground floor annexe to the rear of the high street in the village Cemaes Bay, set on the north coast of Anglesey in North Wales. It is situated near owner’s property The Old Post Office. This is the perfect holiday for couples wanting a peaceful break. The main bedroom has a lovely double bed with an integrated wardrobe and TV. The open living plan area includes a well-equipped kitchen with a comfortable sitting area and breakfast bar and there are doors opening out to the courtyard to sit out with your morning coffee. With a short walk to shops, pubs and beaches, you can get all your necessities and relax in the sun in a quiet atmosphere with a refreshing drink. Further afield, you can take a 10 minute drive to the local Red Wharf Bay or town of Benlech. This allows ample opportunities for long leisurely walks along the coast, the chance to visit local monuments and churches and explore the fishing harbour. Angling charters are also quite popular in this area, and if guests are able to get good weather and calm seas, then a day’s fishing on the water is a relaxing experience. This property is perfectly suited for a couple looking to get away to the Welsh coast for a few days or more and stay in a well-furnished and modern apartment.
Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the beautiful North Anglesey Heritage Coast, the pretty seaside village of Cemaes Bay is home to three pubs, shops, an award-winning chip shop, a cafe and Visitor Centre, a natural sheltered harbour and a sandy beach edged by grassy cliffs, ideal for safe bathing and family fun.
