A charming 17th Century farmhouse with mature gardens attracting red squirrels and barn owls. A beautiful setting, only two miles from the beach.. 1 step to entrance.

In a beautiful, tranquil and rural setting, this 17th-century, granite-built farmhouse sits at the end of a ¼ mile single, downward lane. After the last bend, over a cattle grid, the lane is unmade. The house is sheltered by mature woodland and small fields which enhance Anglesey’s red squirrel conservation.
One of the joys of this property would be the games room located in the garage, where table tennis and dart fans alike can practice their abilities!
Cae Ocyn lies close to sandy beaches, with visitor attractions including Anglesey Sea Zoo, Plas Newydd, Beaumaris Castle, a Victorian courthouse and jail, Pili Palace Butterfly Farm, bspb bird sanctuary, coastal walks, golf, horse riding and sea fishing. The Snowdonia National Park and mountain scenery is within easy reach.

As a family we enjoyed are stay at Cae Ocyn, very, very spacious cottage with everything there, the pictures on the brochure don't really show how big this place is, so was an added bonus & more of a surprise when we got there.As a family that love nature it was a perfect place for us, seeing wild Red Squirrels & Bats at night was amazing, yeah there was no WiFi but that added family time, with card games etc. The road in is a bit tight especially when you turn into the drive to Cae Ocyn, but slow & steady gets you there & you soon get used to it.Lovely private little nature reserve, with lots of character, beds, chairs very comfortable, & loved the little laboratorytouch on the sink taps.

OMG what a disappointment especially having read the reviews and seeing the pictures. The only problem I have now is where do I start. We managed to arrive successfully due to using Google and not the instructions given as this lead us to another property. Upon arrival we were so disappointed with the state of the place. I appreciate it is a nature reserve and all for that but the garden was overgrown so much so you couldn't sit in It if you wanted to. The so called table tennis and darts room (in the garage) was so dismal and equipment poor. The house was riddled with wood worm so much so the double bed in one of the large bedrooms collapsed on the first night when in point of fact someone who had preciously reviewed this place mentioned the wobbly leg on the bed had been poorly fixed. It was replaced by blocks of wood with the promise of someone coming to fix it - no-one did and apparently the owner said she didnt want to replace the old bed but wanted it repairing. The kitchen was dirty the fridge freezer had mould in the drawer. There was still food in the freezer and fridge part. We had to clean all the utensils plates cups etc. The sitting room was damp due to not being able to open windows as they were rotten. Some window pains had holes in as well as cracks and the bathroom no words to describe it, I could go on for hours. If someone took over this place and did it up it would be great, but as it is I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone.

Loved the cottage, ideal for young children for space, comfy. Kids missed WiFi, absolutely loads of kitchen utensils, big fridge good oven, heating if required. Loved the wildlife even had a fox visit, bats red squirrel field mice just too isolated, couldn't walk to any amenities, having said that we made the most and did enjoy it, luckily we had fantastic weather. Didn't find the ceilings too low or the stairs steep, would recommend to anyone who wanted to absolutely chill out
