Exquisite Llandeilo Lodge sleeping up to 4 guests

Perfect for families, friends or couples, this semi-detached property is wonderfully situated to visit many attractions or to enjoy outdoor activities.
Maesydderwen, meaning oak field, started life as a working farm and later became a country inn, but is now a collection of delightful holiday cottages, beautifully situated within the living landscape of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The charming market town of Llandeilo, with chic shops and an array of good restaurants, cafes and pubs, is just over three miles away. This holiday property has been renovated by the owners who live on-site, and boasts a fantastic hot tub and comfortable accommodation ideal for families, friends or couples. The property has been awarded Bronze in the Carmarthenshire Tourism Awards for self catering accommodation of the year 2018/2019 (3 units or more). There is an abundance of wildlife to see and enjoy from the grounds including woodpecker, siskin, marsh tit, goldfinch, nuthatch and wild roe deer. Red kites can also often be seen soaring overhead and there is a feeding station a 20-minute drive away. You can leave the car behind and enjoy wonderful walks directly from the cottage. If you can drag yourself away from Maesydderwen, there are the beautiful castles of Carreg Cennen and Dinefwr nearby, and the dammed lake of Llyn Y Fan Fach at the western border of the Black Mountains. The National Botanic Garden of Wales, 11 miles, with its great glasshouse dome at its centre, is a year round attraction, and within the Brecon Beacons National Park there are masses of paths and trails for walkers, runners, cyclists, mountain bikers, golfers, horse riders and wildlife watchers. Adrenaline sports such as paragliding, canoeing, rafting and abseiling can also be organised within the national park. Fishing is available in the nearby Towy Valley. Beach 30 miles. Shop and pub 3 miles, restaurant 3¾ miles.

"Lovely compact cottage, well equipped kitchen and lovely view from the hot tub. Very welcoming and friendly owners, welcome pack of tea etc which is a nice touch."
    Sam – 10 Sep 2018
"Booked this cottage last minute and it was perfect. We wanted to get away from everything for a few days and this was just what it was. Phone signal was hit and miss we wanted the miss so we were quite happy. The whole family were so welcoming, fresh Welsh fruit loaf and fresh butter were left and it was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped with tea sugar washing up liquid and dish cloths etc a great working cooker. Everything looked brand new. The hot tub was an added bonus, We sat in there at night with no light pollution and could see millions of stars and even the space station. The cottage is set in a lovely area with lots of nice walks. We will definitely be back."
    Jane – 27 Aug 2018

    Chris – 23 Aug 2018
"Really relaxing and quiet, superb views relaxing hot tub, my wife and i really enjoyed it."
    Ana – 11 Aug 2018
"Hosts are caring and helpful.Hot tub that's private and over looking areas of woodland/fields is wonderful. We had not used hot tubs before and didn't think much of it before we got there but were surprised by how much we liked it. Location is convenient for exploring points of interest but if you are looking for a busy town feel with lots of amenities/restaurants, this might not be for you.We would describe it as clean, functional, and practical rather than a romantic picture of a cottage.Kitchen equipment/provision is great (things like toilet roll, cling film, foil and plenty of towels provided throughout - we were not expecting that!).The living space inside the cottage is small..in effect kitchen, dining area and living room being squeezed into one. So, if you feel claustrophobic in smaller spaces, this may not be for you.Bunk Beds not so good...particularly the mattresses - spring mattresses and need replacing because they don't allow for a good night's sleep especially if an adult is using these beds. If these were not replaced, it would stop us from returning to this cottage."
    Paul – 30 Jul 2018
"Had a lovely family holiday. Castles, walks, beaches, railway trip and lovely local village. Owners were very welcoming. We loved hot tub. Very recommended."
    Lesley – 24 Jul 2018
"Wonderful setting, wonderfully clean, very relaxing and owners very friendly and helpful, would love that in the future they could update the soft furnishings etc with local wool products, crafts etc putting a bit more of Wales inside😍"
    David – 17 Jul 2018
    Laura – 14 May 2018
"Lovely little cottage, in a small row of cottages. Very well equipped kitchen. Small and compact living area, but with everything we needed. Hot tub lovely, clear skies every night leading to fantastic star gazing. Bedrooms comfortable, very clean and simply decorated. Living room has information on local activities, maps and board games, books and jigsaws. Spent breakfast watching birds every morning. Close enough to town but far enough to be rural. Shaun, Mary and Angela very friendly. Lovely stay, thank you!"
    Malik – 14 Apr 2018

"Lovely breakaway, would love to return again in the future. Stunning cottage and lovely hosts."
