Travel to the Gower Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and stay in this single-storey cottage on a complex of properties. Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, this property, which also welcomes two dogs, benefits from the shared use of facilities such as a swimming pool and a games room. When you find the time to leave the complex, you’ll be close to walking and cycle routes throughout the Gower coast and countryside.
Head through the front door into the hallway and pop your shoes off before moving through into the light open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen has all the mod cons needed to whip up fabulous Welsh feasts and some of your group can wait at the dining table and chat to the chef to keep them company. After dinner, retire to the lounge area where you have the choice of two armchairs and a sofa to sink into while you watch TV long into the evening. From here, you can also walk through the patio doors into the shared lawn gardens and patio area with seating. Shared on-site facilities to be enjoyed include the children’s adventure play area and outdoor playground (subject to opening and charges may apply). Back at the property, leading off from the lounge is the king-size bedroom with a chunky wooden bedframe and back by the entrance hall is the twin room. Both bedrooms share a shower room.
When you stay at this complex of properties, you’ll be perfectly located between Rhossili Bay and Oxwich Bay (both 4 miles), where you can enjoy long days out at the beach and superb coastal walks. Check out Worm’s Head in Rhossili, a famous local landmark, if you head west, or venture east and walk all the way to Pobbles Bay (9.5 miles from your cottage) from Oxwich Bay at low tide. For a little retail therapy, Mumbles (13 miles) is a great option, with independent stores, name-brand shops and eateries galore.
