The property provides very comfortable accommodation, and is ideal for exploring the area that offers so much to see and do.
Take a trip to the Brecon Beacons National Park or the Black Mountains for wonderful walking and fantastic scenery. The Vale of Neath is home to some striking waterfalls, hence it is dubbed ‘waterfall country’. For stunning beaches, visit the Gower Peninsula, Britain’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can enjoy long stretches of golden sands, clifftop walks and hidden coves. Local attractions include the National Showcaves, the National Botanical Gardens and Aberglasney Gardens. Afan Forest Park is home to five world-class trails for mountain biking enthusiasts, and fun day trips for families can be had at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo or Oakwood Theme Park. The pretty market town of Llandeilo boasts restaurants and bistros, stylish boutiques, antiques and galleries. Swansea has a wealth of bars, restaurants and shops, and Cardiff, the bustling capital city of Wales is well worth a visit, with its castle, museum and Millennium Stadium. Fishing nearby. Beach 10 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

We had an absolutely brilliant week at Lily Vale Cottage. The owners were so friendly and helpful, and their dog is super cute and affectionate (my son is usually nervous of dogs and he said that playing with her was the best part of the holiday!). The cottage itself is very comfy and clean. The kitchen is modern and spacious, beds are comfortable and the shower is really good (so nice to have a decent shower in a holiday cottage for a change!!). Yes, the stairs are narrow and a little steep, but they were fine for us and our ten year old. The fish pond is raised so not an issue with older kids, just keep an eye on toddlers. The shared garden was great, the owners were there if we needed them but were never overbearing and we always felt completely relaxed.There are lots of coffee shops and takeaways nearby but the area wasn't noisy. There's a great family restaurant about 20 minutes walk away as well as plenty of pubs just round the corner. Motley Pie and Coffee was a particular highlight. Fast EV chargers can be found at Canolfan Gwili in Hendy which is about a 4 minute drive, they do good hot drinks and food too if you want to wait while your car charges. Castles and beaches are within easy reach, we recommend Tredegar house and Langland Bay.

We had a lovely stay at Lilyvale. A lovely self contained 2 bed property, on the main street in Pontarddulais, but it didn't feel busy at all. Lots of amenities are walkable and you're a stones throw from getting onto the Gower. The property was clean and comfortable and the hosts really helpful. Would stay again if we were in the area.
