Guests say

Swallow Cottage is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its peacefulness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the rural setting, proximity to beaches, and the presence of animals and walks. The responsive hosts and the cottage's cleanliness are also commended. Some concerns about boiler issues and internet reliance for TV are noted, but overall experiences are positive.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotless and well-maintained, with high-quality linens and towels. However, a few mentioned signs of damp and a smelly boiler, slightly affecting the score.

The cottage's rural setting is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to beaches and walks. Some guests were dissatisfied with the view of derelict buildings and the narrow access roads, which impacts the score.

Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. The boiler issues did cause discomfort for some, which is reflected in the score.

The cottage is well-equipped and issues like the oven were promptly addressed. However, boiler problems and reliance on internet for TV during bad weather have led to a lower score.

While the reviews mention the hosts being helpful and providing information, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that could be evaluated in this category.

If you plan to stay local, you can explore the countryside from the doorstep - take a walk in the forest, cycle the countryside, or trot along the bridleway or even play a round of golf at Gower Golf Club, less than 5 minutes away. Swallow Cottage is also pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friend along!

This area is the gateway to the Gower; once you’ve settled in, it is recommended you head to the Gower to take in some of Wales’ most beautiful coastline. Gower is home to over thirty beaches and coves, many are dog-friendly, and most are just a 20-minute drive. Five minutes from your doorstep there are cycle paths (car free, mostly flat and family friendly) that can take you to Mumbles or, if you are feeling energetic, Pembrey Country Park with its 8-mile-long sandy beach and plenty of activities for kids. There are around 27 miles of cycle paths to explore in Gower and many more footpaths. With great access to the M4 from the cottage you could even venture further. Head west for more stunning coastline and scenery, or east if you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a city (Swansea, Cardiff, and Bristol). If you plan on ditching the car for the day, you can hop on the train from the station in the village, a direct train to Cardiff is a little over an hour away.

Lovely cottage in a nice quiet location, all modern kitchen facilities, comfortable beds, good sized bathroom, nice conservatory & good lounge & dining areas.Major downside are the numerous large potholes in the lane approaching the cottage, however, these are beyond the control of the cottage owner.
