Walking is available from the doorstep - a public footpath runs through the land - and cycling is very popular in the Afan Argoed Country Park; golf and horse riding can also be found locally. Margam Park and Dan yr Ogof showcaves are within easy driving distance. Nearby Pontardawe, indoor bowls, leisure centre and arts centre with cinema. Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, or further afield, visit the Gower Peninsula - Britain’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its beautiful sandy beaches. Swansea boasts the LC2 indoor Waterpark, a firm favourite with visitors of all ages with a lazy river, wave pool, the boardrider for indoor surfing and the masterblaster rollercoaster waterslide, as well as the maritime museum and marina. I would definitely recommend if you want a break away from it all as it is in the middle of the countryside yet not too far from civilization.Great place for walks from the cottage. I took hiking poles which were extremely useful going up and down the hills and also wellies which also were a great help crossing streams.The cottage had everything needed including a table top ironing board and iron and also a hairdryer and torch. I ordered a food delivery from Morrisons which arrived the day I arrived and meant I did not need to go to the shop about 1 mile away. Cottage spotlessly clean and bed was comfy too. The fridge only had a small freezer section so beware of that. Also no dishwasher.Owners very friendly and helpful.I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend if you need some peace and quiet.

We stayed at the cottage for a week, the whole place was spotlesly clean, the bed was comfortable and a lovely shower, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal if you wanted to and a cosy lounge to relax in the evenings. The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful with many areas to go for a walk. We would definitely like to return for another week!
