Summertime Lodge in Abergele offers a peaceful setting with breathtaking views, ideal for exploring North Wales. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, comfort, and privacy of the lodges, along with the welcoming and attentive hosts. While some maintenance issues are noted, the owner's responsiveness and plans for renovation are reassuring. The lodge's deck is a highlight for relaxation and enjoying the scenery.
The majority of guests report the lodge as very clean, with particular praise for the condition upon arrival. However, a few guests noted areas that could be improved, such as cobwebs and a mouldy bathroom blind, slightly affecting the score.
The location is consistently praised for its stunning views, tranquillity, and proximity to local attractions and beaches. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the North Wales coast and Snowdonia.
Guests find the lodge comfortable, with special mentions of the beds and the living area. Some guests, however, felt that the bedrooms were dated and the lodge compact for four people.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a fully fitted kitchen and entertainment options like Sky Q and Netflix. Maintenance issues with the boiler and some dated aspects have been noted, but the owner's quick response to issues is commended.
While guests mention a warm welcome and helpful recommendations from the owner, there are no specific references to gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews provided, so a score cannot be given.

Booked to stay with 2 friends and 2 dogs. Lodge in good position to explore the coastline between Rhyl and Llandudno, luckily we had very good weather and made the most of our stay. Met owner and his Nan who was lovely and made us a banana cake in return for watering the plants. James' recommended we had Sunday lunch at the Black Lion at Llanfair Talhaiarn which was so good we went there twice! As for Summertime Lodge, we found it very dated and I'm afraid not very clean. There was old table legs and cobwebs behind tv and under sofa's. The bathroom smelled strongly of damp and the window blind was mouldy as was grouting over bath/shower. One of the dining chairs was broken and dangerous to sit on and the patio furniture likewise was not in the best condition with broken umbrella and ripped cushions. There was very little in the way of instructions and outside bins don't get emptied unless taken to top near road. There is a freezer outside in shed at back of property to be shared by all 3 lodges. Getting out of lane was extremely dangerous as narrow road with cars passing at speed. A mirror positioned opposite the entrance would be a godsend! We made the best of our stay but would not return unless substantial changes made.
