About this property

Llo Bach is a fantastic holiday cottage set in a rural location in the Welsh countryside. The cottage is in a very rural location, but not too far from the village of Llangernyw, located in the beautiful Elwy Valley close to where the River Cledwen joins the River Elwy.

The hub of the house is the galleried sitting and dining area, the focal point being a gorgeous revolving log burner which you can aim in any direction. The well equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, and a small dining area.

Up several steps from the galleried hallway is a lovely alcove with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, brimming with books of historical importance and plenty of information about the local area. There is another large sitting room up here with plenty of comfy seating and an open fire. French doors open out onto the private courtyard outside.

There is a downstairs cloakroom with a loo.

Upstairs are two double bedrooms, with a twin and a double bed, both complete with en suites.

Outside the property is a private courtyard.

From here, it is only 10 miles to the sandy beaches at Conwy Morfa and Llandudno, and 10 miles to the Snowdonia National Park. Llangernyw has two pubs, an antiques shop, and a village shop with a post office.

There are some local attractions in the area, but the village is most renowned for the 4500 to 5000-year-old yew tree in the grounds of St Digain's Church in the centre of the village. Here you are able to touch one of the three oldest living things on the planet! The yew tree took root sometime in the Bronze Age and is still a thriving and healthy tree today.

The interior of Llo Bach is an eclectic mix of carefully chosen furniture and unique decorative items, such as the magnificent tapestry and the formal Afghan outfit hanging on a wall.

This is an open and sociable house, situated in beautiful scenery with gorgeous walks in the surrounding areas. If you are looking for a holiday cottage with a difference, then Llo Bach will hit the spot!

If you have more than 4 in your party why not rent Llo Bach Bach as well.

The pleasant seaside town of Abergele stands on the lovely North Wales coastline and is ideally positioned between the stunning Vale of Clwyd and the lovely Conwy Valley. Renowned for the impressive Gwrych Castle which overlooks the town, and its enormous sandy beach, the whole area offers safe bathing waters and excellent watersports facilities. There is also a coastal cycle path which runs along the Abergele seafront, and for walking enthusiasts, the Offa's Dyke pathway, the Clwydian Hill Range and beautiful Betws-y-Coed known as the "Gateway to Snowdonia" are all nearby. The beautiful castles of Rhuddlan, Bodelwyddan, Conwy and Caernarfon are not to be missed, and the delightful award-winning Victorian town of Llandudno, offering quality shops, restaurants, a fantastic dry ski slope and exciting cable car rides over the Great Orme, is within easy driving distance. There is plenty to do in this wonderful region at any time of the year!

It is really well equipped with most things we needed for our 7 day stay and it we didn’t have to go out and buy toilet roll, washing up liquid, bin bags etc as we have at some other properties. It is perfectly situated to enjoy what North Wales has to offer and it is in a peaceful location. This is a great place to kick back from it all so it was really disappointing that, after a few evenings of trying to relax in the living room that we both found the sofa and chairs really uncomfortable and difficult to relax on and the suite has definitely seen better days. If the sofa suite is updated to something comfortable the place is perfect

Absolutely wonderful cottage and much bigger than we'd thought it would be. Very clean, fabulous and accommodating host, attention to detail and totally a home from home. We absolutely loved it and had everything and more than we needed in this beautiful period cottage surrounded by beautiful, vibrant wildlife and really easy to access all the amenities of the surrounding areas and beaches from this venue. The walks were stunning and the array of stunning birds at the feeder provided hours of kitchen window entertainment. Love this place.
