Location fabulous. Llandudno is the cleanest and most friendly seaside resort we have ever visited. We have already booked to go back again next year but certainly not to this cottage. On arrival we thought it was a great location with plenty of parking. Very secluded and quiet. The instructions said to go to Bodafon Hall which we did, only to find no one there to welcome us or how to find the owner. In fact we discovered later that the owner lives on site but we never saw her. We didnt know what to do so we found the keys in the door and went in.The pictures on the website must be very old because it does not look like that now. It is in poor state of repair and needs attention. We were warned there were steep steps to the cottage but that was a massive understatement. Those stairs were downright dangerous. The bottom step carpet was loose and not fastened down so a real trip hazard. It was like climbing Mount Everest. Each step was a different height and extremely high.We got to the top to find a very dingy, smelly, dusty lounge. It is very old and tired. There were endless cushions and throws that covered a very uncomfortable sofa. Those cushions and throws were really fusty smelling and needed a good wash. We piled them all up in the corner of the room and sprayed them with freshener then opened all the windows to try and get rid of the smell. Lounge and kitchen all open plan but cosy. It got a bit chilly some days but the heating worked really well. Lovely big tv with good internet access. We were able to log on to our own Amazon prime and Netflix. Phone signal by the way is very poor but expected in that location. The kitchen was a bit of a bodge job. One door just hung with handle misplaced and no way of closing it. We opened the window and the handle that keeps it open came off in my hand. One of the rings on the cooker did not work. Lovely big fridge freezer.Table and 4 chairs (one seat broken) looks good in the photos all set for 4 with matching crockery. Couldnt find that crockery. What we found was a cupboard full of mismatched niknaks. 3 dinner plates, 3 dishes, 4 tea plates, all mismatched. There was a full set of cutlery though. We managed to find two mugs but if we wanted a cold drink one of us had to drink out of a pint pot or a wine glass as there was only one drinking glass so we had to purchsse a couple of tumblers. . Several wine glasses of all shapes and sizes. In the cupboard we found left over bottles of cooking oil and other condiments which had seen better days and didnt know how long had been there. We didnt use any of it.The bathroom was lovely and big with a walk in shower (which needed a good clean). I had to clean the toilet as the back was stained with something brown. Two towels were provided but they were like two pieces of cardboard and scratched your skin so luckily we had our own with us.The bedroom was really dirty. Half inch thick dust with very fusty smelling bedspread and matching cushion covers which we again piled in the corner and sprayed with freshener. My husband is asthmatic and has a dust allergy so that dusty bedroom was not good at all. The bedding we slept in however was fresh and clean and the bed was very soft and comfortable. The bedroom furniture was very very old and painted to try and clean it up. The wardrobe door would not stay shut. The only cupboard/drawer space was a really old writing desk which was useless. All in all, it is a lovely location but the cottage needs a really good overhaul.
