Head up to Abergele (5 miles) to uncover its shops and eateries before visiting Gwrych Castle and spending an afternoon on the sands of Pensarn Beach. Further along the coast, Colwyn Bay (8.5 miles) charms with its soft sand beach and traditional seaside attractions. To the west, the resort of Llandudno (16 miles) makes for another great day by the sea. For long hikes and dramatic scenery, Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park can be reached within 12 miles.
