Lixwm is situated close to the towns of Mold, Holywell and seaside town of Prestatyn. If walking is your passion, then the highest hill in the Clwydian range, Moel Famau and the Offa’s Dyke path are both on the doorstep waiting to be conquered. This two bedroomed property is tucked away near woodlands offering a quiet and peaceful retreat.
The lounge, dining room and kitchen are well designed in an open living style. There is a Smart TV, comfortable sofas and electric heater providing a cosy space to relax in the evening. For those who like to cook, the kitchen offers an electric oven, hob and large fridge/freezer, providing everything you need to knock up a Welsh breakfast or evening meal. The first of the two bedrooms offers a kingsized bed, wardrobes and quality mattress and linen. The second bedroom is in a twin configuration and has patio doors leading out to a decked area with garden furniture, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. Providing a well-earned place to relax at the end of a long day exploring. Positioned just off the A55, you are well connected to enjoy all that North Wales has to offer. The beaches at Prestatyn, Rhyl and Talacre are all within half an hour drive. Venture further up the coast to the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno or over to the Snowdonia National Park for fabulous days out. Matty’s Place welcomes your furry friends too, there are some fabulous walks directly from the property.

The location was beautiful, nice and quiet and around nature. The place we stayed at was not clean enough however, when we came in the smell was damp and in the bathroom there was left over sanitary pads in the bin probably from previous stayers. Also lots of spider webs.

Couple were friendly & helpful, would have been useful if the heating timer wasn’t an hour & half out of time. As it was chilly in the mornings until we boosted the heating.Nice place few cobwebs here & there. Small leak with hot tap in sink.Nice to have a few food items bread, butter, jams, milk, tea, coffee, sugar came in very handy.

Set in a Quiet village there were no facilities locally, one public house which was open Wednesday to Sunday. Plenty of small lanes and footpaths for walking ( with or without dogs ). The cottage it'self is tucked away down a lane, could do with a sign up as there are two lanes at the road. Cottage fully catered for, all utensils etc provided. Coasts and inland reachable in minutes.
