Julie and Dave were so friendly as were their 2 lovely dogs. Clean and well equipped and I loved the shower. Fantastic views, peace and quiet, walks from the door and so much to do in the area, we will have to come back. The outside space was safe for my young spaniel who had a wonderful time. Appreciated the supplies left for us especially the proper coffee and dog biscuits. Thanks so much guys, I needed some relaxation and I certainly got that.

You get half of that, and the other half is separated from you by double dividing doors. Stay the same week as a family with a baby and a toddler and you are living in a creche for a week. Without question the worst cottage holiday we’ve ever had (and we’ve been doing this more than once a year for 20yrs). This place is a farmhouse (where the dogs bark all day) with two “cottages” attached to it and a third above the garage, in a deep valley near Mold. The couple are nice enough, and the place is broadly ok, but they said “IF” we wanted to cook in our self-catering cottage, we should be sure to close the bedroom doors to stop the smoke alarm going off. We discovered later this was because the overhead fan on the belling electric cooker doesn’t work; at all. Mostly, apart from this, the facilities are fine. But if you get a week with screaming babies/toddlers in the other half - or even a couple who talk above a whisper - don’t expect any sleep, let alone a lie-in. Not much of a holiday I’m sad to say. (Oh and don’t do a big shop; the fridge is tiny and will only hold a couple of meals at a time.) oh, and the wifi is quite poor.
