Tyn Y Celyn is a charming and peaceful cottage, appreciated for its remote location and rustic, cosy atmosphere. Guests have enjoyed the privacy, nature, and spaciousness, making it ideal for families, friends, and pet owners. While some have found it to be a relaxing retreat, there have been mentions of maintenance and cleanliness issues that detracted from the overall experience.
The reviews present a mixed view on cleanliness. While no specific praise is given, one review highlights significant cleanliness issues, suggesting that improvement is needed in this area.
The location is consistently described as peaceful and remote, with beautiful surroundings. The steep road access and distance from amenities are noted, but the tranquillity seems to be a positive aspect for most guests.
Comfort receives positive remarks for the peaceful atmosphere and bed configuration, despite a minor discrepancy in the advertised bed arrangement. The property is considered cosy and suitable for relaxation.
Facilities are a point of contention. Some guests are satisfied with the kitchen and amenities, while others report issues with garden maintenance, hot tub safety, and a lack of expected features such as a washer/dryer and barbecue. This suggests that the facilities meet basic needs but require attention.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness of the host in this regard. Therefore, this score is set to null.

Beautiful and quaint. Everything you need was to hand. Warm clean and of course it had Sky Sports for then men. I would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely relaxing weekend as a group of friends. Bed configuration is two doubles and one twin , not two twin rooms but it was fine for us . We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and location . Owner was friendly and helpful . Overall we enjoyed our visit and would stay again.

Remote beautiful area, steep road up to cottage. Lovely old farmhouse, warm, good standard of kitchen and amenities. Garden and grass needed a bit of a trim but it was great for us and our dogs. This is not a destination for someone wanting perfection but it was cosy, rustic and great for children and dogs. we would come back. 4 miles to Ruthin with good shops.
