Beudy Hywel is a well-received cottage in North Wales, praised for its idyllic location, welcoming touches, and suitability for both couples and pets. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, stunning views, and the owner's hospitality, though some minor cleanliness and comfort issues are noted.
Most guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, with only a few isolated comments about minor cleanliness issues such as cobwebs and unwashed utensils. The overall impression is of a well-maintained property.
The location is highly praised for its easy access to Snowdonia, Caernarfon, and Anglesey, offering stunning views and a peaceful setting. It is considered perfect for exploring local attractions and enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
The cottage is generally regarded as cosy and comfortable, with a warm welcome and extra touches like underfloor heating. However, a few guests mentioned issues with the sofa and bed comfort, which slightly affected the overall comfort score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a fully equipped kitchen, modern amenities, and a secure garden for dogs. Some guests noted the lack of a washing machine and minor maintenance issues, but these did not detract significantly from the overall experience.
Guests frequently mention the thoughtful touches provided by the owner, including welcome packs for both humans and dogs, fresh flowers, and wine. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.
Llanrug 1 mile. A delightful, detached barn conversion, set in its own 1/2 acre of rough paddock, on a secluded part of the owners' land on their sheep farm, one mile from the village of Llanrug, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in scenic North Wales. This charming single-storey Llanrug cottage has been superbly renovated to offer light, airy and spacious accommodation, with an entrance hall that leads to an open plan living area with fully fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The living area boasts a galleried ceiling, revealing exposed oak beams, plus an inglenook fireplace houses a remote controlled feature fire, and there is the added bonus of a corner sofa, which converts into a double bed.
A door leads through into a small dressing room and then into the king-size double bedroom with stylish en-suite bathroom. Outside this Snowdonia cottage is a pleasant patio and lawned garden, which has a 'canal' water feature and provides an ideal place for enjoying a meal or cold drink on a sunny evening. Itâs such a great location - easy to get to, but also quiet and on its own (and you feel like youâve escaped to a really isolated location!). The owner is super helpful before you arrive making sure you are going to be okay getting there. We 100% will be back.

Ideally suited to walking in the area. Lots of mountains no more than 20 minutes drive away. Welsh highland railway also a short distance. A very comfy bed, plenty of space and a good kitchen to cook in. We couldnât get the T.V remote to work the T.V ( may have been us?!) but that was the only minus point. Up there with one of the best properties we have rented. The owner is lovely too.
