A wonderful holiday location whatever the season, this charming, spacious and traditional, mid-terraced cottage has a lovely enclosed garden and is situated opposite the historic St Beuno Church, which dates back to the 7th century. It was an important stopping place for pilgrims heading for Bardsey Island. As you step out of the front door of the cottage you are immediately on the cycle track route from Llanaelhaearn to Caernarfon.Just a short walk from the cottage is a pebbled beach and access to the Wales coastal path with fabulous panoramic views across to Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula. Village shop and soon to be petrol station is only a 1 minute walk to the left of the cottge. The Snowdonia National Park is close by for a fine selection of outdoor pursuits which include the Snowdon Mountain Railway, climbing to the summit of Mount Snowdon, Wales’ highest mountain, Zip World and Surf Snowdonia, as well as being a paradise for walkers and cyclists. Historic Caernarfon is within easy reach and is home to the Welsh Highland Railway, providing a spectacular narrow-gauge steam journey to Beddgelert and Porthmadog. Caernarfon is also home to its mighty Edward I castle and a fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Clynnog-Fawr is situated on the outskirts of the Lleyn Peninsula and due to its central location it affords easy access to the wonderful sandy beaches and lively seaside villages of Nefyn, Pwllheli and Abersoch. Beach ½ mile. Pub 8 miles, restaurant 10 miles.

A lovely, spotlessly clean cottage excellent as a base for exploring the area. It has a secure garden and a shop at the garage along the road that sells everything you need. A lovely walk past the church leads down to the pebble beach. Would highly recommend.

Madryd is a lovely warm, cosy, well equipped cottage.It has everything you could possibly need and is nicely decorated.Across from the cottage is a beautiful old church and just down the road is a magnificent beach.It is very quiet in the village but is not far from other seaside towns.We have loved it here and hope to return.The owner is very kind and very hospitable should you need any further information.Definitely a wonderful hidden gem.

Very helpful.Highly recommended.Anyone exploring the Lyn Peninsula and needs a base, Madryn is an excellent place to call base.20 to 40 minutes from Cricieth, Pwelli aberdoch and aberdaron also Caernarfen is only 15 minutes drive
