About this property

Beudy Penrhos is a cosy and romantic holiday cottage for two that oozes character. You'll be amazed at how much room there is inside, and, despite having period features, there's under-floor heating throughout for a sense of modern luxury! This holiday cottage sits in a peaceful countryside location in Snowdonia with incredible views towards the hills of Yr Eifl. This is the perfect place for relaxing and getting away from it all!

In the sitting room, comfortable sofas are set around a deep inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, making this an ideal holiday cottage even in the winter months. There’s also a Smart TV for entertainment. A dining table and chairs are at one end.

The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, double oven and a useful breakfast bar. A central workstation has a four-ring hob and a sink with drainer.

The bedroom has a wooden-framed double bed and stunning, traditional Welsh blanket. There’s also a wardrobe for storing your clothes.

The wet room has a bath, an open shower and a heated towel rail. There’s a separate loo and wash hand basin.

The boiler room is perfect for wet drying boots and walking gear. There’s also a deep freezer in here.

The garden is left purposefully natural and has a lawned area with a small patio with garden furniture where you can sit outside in the fresh air with your morning cup of tea or coffee. Beudy Penrhos also has ample parking.

Beudy Penrhos is a holiday cottage ideally located for either a relaxing or adventure packed break! If you want to get out and explore, there are plenty of walking routes from the cottage, the wildlife spotting is good here and it’s only a mile to a stunning sandy beach at Dinas Dinlle. The historic town of Caernarfon is only a short drive away and there are plenty of great pubs, cafes and little shops to peruse there.

Caernarfon (county town of Gwynedd) has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales. It is a popular tourist spot with its impressive 13th Century castle, well preserved town walls and delightful water front. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery, the village of Beddgelert and onto Porthmadog. Fishing trips are available from the harbour and another attraction within walking distance of the town centre is Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, housing many important finds. Caernarfon offers a wide selection of shops and places to eat and is close to the lovely beaches of the Isle of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula as well as the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia, including the renowned mountaineering town of Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon.

The cottage is spacious and one of the largest we have stayed in for two people. Fab kitchen and it was great to come out of the rain to a roaring fire. The welcome gifts were a lovely touch, too. Relaxed, recharged and ready to go again.

The owners are lovely. Situated in a lovely setting whit Mountain View’s from the back garden and a short walk to the beach. Lots of locations to visit and not to far.

The location is very quiet, only the sheep can be heard. The cottage could be a little cold so it’s worth YouTubeing a basic ‘how to do it’ re log burners if you have never used one before, however the owners are next door and happy to give guidance. We will certainly be back, there’s loads to do and we would recommend Snowdon ( we went up on the diesel train) and a visit to Betws- y - Coed.
