The cottage was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. It was only a short (10mins) walk to the beach and we also enjoyed the local fish & chip shop!

It was really difficult to get my manual wheelchair into the property. Once inside it was impossible to get out of the lounge. I have severe mobility problems and it was really painful for me to walk to the bedroom and the bathroom. The doors are standard size and not wide as stated. The grade 3 mobile bed mechanism works ok but I need the top and bottom raised and the old unsuitable mattress didn't allow for this. I had to sleep in the reclining chair in the lounge with my sister/carer sleeping on the sofa. The mattress needs replacing with one that's suitable for an adjustable bed. The toaster and the kettle need replacing. The microwave is old and there weren't any instructions on how to use it. The fridge/freezer made a loud noise all the time. The cutlery and saucepans etc we're dirty and greasy. The cupboard shelves were dirty and there was kitchen roll lining the shelves which was also dirty! We only used a couple of bowls and left a note to say that we hadn't used anything else and that it was in that state when we got there. We ate out and got a takeaway one night which was all really expensive. The quilts were really thin and we had to use the quilts off the other beds. Two light bulbs need replacing in the lounge and one of the lamps didn't have a bulb. The property needs to be updated. Its depressing and not up to a suitable standard.
