Guests say

Bwythyn-y-Saer is a well-regarded cottage in Pwllheli, appreciated for its peaceful location with lovely countryside views, proximity to Abersoch, and its cosy, homely atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, the welcome pack, and the property's suitability for families. Some minor issues were noted regarding cleanliness and maintenance, but overall, guests had enjoyable stays and would return.

Guests found the cottage to be generally clean, though some noted areas where cleaning could be more thorough, such as under beds and on top of units. Dust and a stained toilet seat were mentioned, suggesting room for improvement.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and accessibility to Abersoch and nearby beaches. Some guests noted the walk to town is longer than expected, but the scenic views compensate for this.

The property is described as cosy and homely, with comfortable beds and a peaceful setting. However, some guests mentioned issues with hot water temperature and the size of the bed, indicating slight discomfort for some.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a fully equipped kitchen and appreciated extras like washing tabs and bin bags. Criticisms include the lack of WiFi, very hot water, and some maintenance issues with bedroom furniture and kitchenware.

Guests mentioned a welcome pack, which added a thoughtful touch to their stay. However, as not all guests received this, it's important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

About this property

A superb single-storey semi-detached stone-built Abersoch cottage, on the edge of town. Well-equipped accommodation, lovely countryside views. Ideal for Llyn Peninsula. Note: This cottage is next to Ref 2915 and together they accommodate 9.

Situated on the Lleyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking is the attractive harbour town of Abersoch. Set between two glorious bays, this is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales hosting important sailing regattas throughout the summer months. The town also contains a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes whilst water sports enthusiasts are well-catered for in the region. Windsurfing, water-skiing and dinghy sailing are all readily available around Abersoch, whilst the more daring might be interested in the renowned surfing at Hell's Mouth. If you prefer to spend you time by the sea in a more sedate manner the region also boasts a number of ‘family friendly' sandy beaches including Warren beach, sheltered Porth Bach and Porth Ceriad, with its dramatic, towering cliffs.

It was super clean, warm and cosy with a well equipped kitchen. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and country views - with sheep! We found it well placed for visits to Abersoch and coastal walks and would definitely like to return. We visit the Llyn Peninsular often and this has been one of our favourite stays.

A welcome pack would have been a nice thought. The location was lovely.

The barn was absolutely beautiful with so many useful facilities. The barn was so clean and it was a lovely touch having a snack box to welcome us after our journey. The use of a washing machine was great after days at the beach. The views from the barn were fabulous and it was so peaceful. We enjoyed our walks to the nearby beach and to the village of Abersoch. What a beautiful conversion in a stunning area with everything you could want for a relaxing holiday.
