Lovely location but the cottage is very run down. The bedding was clean and there was plenty of towels. Weather was very wet and windy when we were there so not good that the bathroom window wouldn’t close and all the other windows were drafty and the curtains were blowing. The back of my curtains in the double bedroom downstairs were covered in mould, I didn’t check the others. Conservatory nice to sit in but all the windows are blown and covered in condensation so couldn’t really see out. Also parts of the roof in there was lifting up with the wind. Kitchen equipment like fridge & microwave rusty. It’s a shame because it could be lovely and the views are lovely. We had to put things at the big gate as small dogs can get under it too. We went Friday to Friday but actually left on the Wednesday.

Fantastic location and space. Let down by poor upkeep and cleanliness. Good outside area, walking distance to Porth Colmon.

Don't usually write reviews but on this occasion I feel as I must. First of the location, out in the middle of nowhere, which can be good or bad depends on how you look at it. A shop is near by but the prices are expensive, be prepared and make sure you do a delivery service from a supermarket. The house, from the pictures of made it look far better than it actually was. The house was tired, needed total renovation, windows wouldn't either close or stay open. The double bed downstairs was rock solid, didn't get a decent sleep all week. The conservatory room has literally got gaffas tape on the roof. There wasn't hot water for two days which did get sorted out. The volume of spiders was borderline ridiculous, must have killed 20. There is a broken hot tub covered in moss, there is back gate to get to the beach if you don't mind stepping into a bog and dancing around cow and sheep muck. Garden is surrounded by bushes which are full of nettles and thistles. So be prepared to fish out any loose balls or toys. One last gripe, it's 2025 and the internet was like it was from the 1990s, slow as hell. Kids these days love the internet and was difficult for them all week. A house with so much potential for some who is prepared to gut it and start again. Would I come back to hafan? Probably not. Especially for the £1200 I paid for a week.
